Your guide to game night.

Before you begin

An adult operates each household’s device. You need 2–8 households and a video call for spoken guesses. Free play includes six turns, each lasting up to 90 seconds. No child account, text chat, or player names are required.

The browser game is available now. The native Zoom integration is an installed beta awaiting live in-meeting testing and Marketplace approval. The steps below describe its intended installation and use once access is granted.

Install in Zoom

1. Sign in to Zoom Workplace on Windows or macOS. Use desktop version 7.0.5 or later. The similarly named Zoom web app does not provide this meeting game.
2. Open the Together Doodle listing when published, or use the developer-provided test installation link if you are an authorized tester. Select Add and review the requested access. Your organization may require admin approval.
3. Complete authorization. Return to Zoom, start or join a normal meeting, then choose Apps → Together Doodle.
4. Confirm that you are an adult operating the device. Select Enter this meeting’s game. The first household to enter becomes the game host; this is independent of the Zoom meeting host.

Invite and play

1. The game host selects Invite family, then Invite Zoom meeting. Zoom opens collaboration without automatically sharing the drawer’s screen. Each invited adult opens the app, confirms the adult checkbox and enters the meeting’s game. If invitations are unavailable, adults can open the app themselves from Apps.
2. The game host starts the first turn when at least two households are present. Only the current drawer receives the secret word. Draw it on the canvas, using colors and brush sizes. Don’t use letters or numbers.
3. Guess out loud on your Zoom call. The host selects + beside the first correct household to award one point. The host can also reveal the word without awarding a point.
4. Choose Next turn to rotate the pencil. The server ends a turn after 90 seconds. New households can enter in the lobby or between turns. After six turns, view the scores and end the room.
5. Keep the secret word off screen shares. App-sharing events hide it when detected, but do not rely on this to protect a full-desktop or external recording.

Use the browser game

1. Open the home page during any video call. Confirm the adult checkbox and start a free game.
2. Copy the private invitation and share it only with your family. An adult in each household opens the complete link.
3. Keep your call open alongside the game for spoken guesses. The game rules and host controls are the same as in Zoom. To join a desktop Zoom game, ask its host to choose Invite family → Create browser invitation and open that link. You will see the same drawings, scores and turns as the desktop players. This is a separate browser tab, not an embedded app in Zoom’s web toolbar.

Manage browser invitations in a Zoom game

1. Only the game host can create a browser invitation. Anyone with that link can join and see the game, including people outside the meeting. Share it privately.
2. Links expire after 30 minutes. Replace browser invitation invalidates the old link. Stop new browser joins blocks further invitations without disconnecting existing players.
3. Browser players have their own session and assigned animal label. They can draw only on their turn. The host can remove a household in the lobby or between turns.
4. Browser participants in a Zoom game do not need to install the Zoom app. They must confirm adult operation. Zoom Guest Mode is a separate feature and remains unsupported.

Leave, delete, or remove

1. Leave this screen stops displaying the current game; the room remains available until it expires or the host ends it.
2. The host can select End room & delete drawings and confirm. This immediately removes the game data.
3. To uninstall, sign in to Zoom App Marketplace, open Manage → Added Apps, find Together Doodle, and select Remove. Follow Zoom’s confirmation steps.
4. When the verified removal event reaches our server, active rooms associated with that Zoom user are deleted. Every household in those rooms loses access and can start a new game. A request to delete app data does not remove Stripe’s payment records.

If something goes wrong

A reconnect message means the app is retrying. Check your internet connection. If your Zoom session expires, reopen the app in the meeting and enter again. See Support for troubleshooting and direct help. Initial native support is desktop meetings only; mobile, guest mode, webinars and breakout rooms are not part of this release.
